Maturity
“The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mark of the mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one.” J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye

Forever Endeavors
People and plans fizzle-out because we fail to fight through our fleshly, flaky fickleness, foresee our need for help in the future and focus Today on our Father Jesus and His Forever Endeavors (see also Malachi 2:10 & 4:6 = Redemption)
Ownership Transfers…
9 times doctrine is referred to in the Gospels as belonging to Jesus Christ. In Acts chapter 2 there was a transfer. The doctrine of Jesus Christ became the Apostles Doctrine. The Apostles Doctrine must be our Doctrine. Our doctrine must become our children’s doctrine. Pastor Wylie Rhinehart.
Bride-food
“I don’t remember 99% of the meals I’ve eaten…but they’ve indeed kept me alive. God uses faithful, forgettable sermons to beautify his bride.” Pastor David McGovern
Romance that…inspires? Yes!
“Romance inspires her and brings feelings of intimacy to the surface.” Fred Stoeker, in Every Man’s Marriage book, pg. 185 (italics added by me, dkb).
Real Revelation…
“It all starts with a Revelation of God’s Love, leading to a Conviction of our great need for Him. This leads us to Confession and Forsaking of our Sins (AKA Repentance), which brings more of Christ’s Compassion (Truth and Direction), fostering us into Connections with Jesus’ People (AKA His Body of Believers) and fulfilled lives together working and resting in Community, as we pursue His Eternal Presence and Soul-cause (AKA The Great Commission).” Denny Beckham. Sidenote: Originally written by me on 11/12/00, as “It all starts with Conviction. Conviction leads to Confession, which brings Compassion and Connection, with the end result being Christ-centered Community and fulfilled lives fulfilling His ‘GREAT Commission’ (not ‘omission’).”
Remember What REALLY Matters…
“Real servants are self-forgetful” (like Christ). Pastor-teacher/Author, Rick Warren, in his Purpose-driven Life Journal.
