Do You Ever Hope for Heaven?

“The nation who (first) put a man on the moon needs a Church (Called-out, Holy People/Fellowship of Sold-out Believers/Followers of Jesus) that can soar into the Heavens. Our Country and world (desperately) need another (Great) Awakening. Perhaps we can “remember our way” into what could be a Rebirth of that “Shining City” (or “City Upon a Hill” that Christ shared originally…and many pastors and politicians have quoted since, starting purportedly with John Winthrop).” Ken Gurley, The Book on Prayer, pg. 304. (italics and words in parenthesis added by me)

‘Fast’ POWER!

“God’s chosen fast changes the spiritual climate (in your life and world). Fasting, along (or coupled) with prayer (though fasting in and of itself can be a form of powerful, silent praying), can move you from being a cloud-watcher to (becoming) a rainmaker, from being reactive to proactive, from being a thermometer (in)to (becoming) a thermostat. Fasting can change everything! Pastor/Writer Ken Gurley, The Book on Prayer, pg. 280 (italics, words in parenthesis and exclamation point added by me, Denny Beckham, 4/11/25).

Right Makes Might (not vice-versa)!

“Being able to speak to a mountain and have it move means that you are in right standing with God.” Prayers that Release Heaven & Move Mountains, Book 2, pg. 52, by John Eckhardt

“Is There Not a CAUSE?”

OPERATION FIRM FOUNDATONS

I Samuel 2:8b,9a (MSG)

“For the very structures of earth are God’s;

he has laid out his operations on a firm foundation.

He protectively cares for his faithful friends, step by step…”

More Founding Truths/Scriptures:

God’s Business is putting things Right; He loves getting the lines straight, setting us straight. Once we’re standing tall, we can look Him straight in the eye.” Psalm 11:7 (MSG)

“The LORD is our Rock.” Psalm 31:3; 89:26 (thru 37)

Isaiah 28:16; 42:11b; 51:3; 58:12; 60:18

“The LORD our Home.”  Psalm 90:1(&2); 91:1,2,9,10

“And I will place the solitary in families…” Psalm 68:6

“I will bring you back Home…” Zephaniah 3:17-20

What’s important to God is beautiful to me. In other words, when I follow Jesus with all my heart, I am fulfilled (because I’m not ‘only’ pleasing God but I’m also doing what I was created and called to do!). Rhema rooted in the belief that God is Good…and looking out, ultimately, for ‘only’ my good; i.e., ‘Father (Abba) knows best’!

II Samuel 22:17-25 (MSG)

I Samuel 15:29 (KJV & MSG)

Yes, God hates sin because it separates us from Him. But also because it fosters condemnation AND causes us to become doubtful and (even) more selfish.

Perfecting Your Practice

“Practice (alone) does NOT make perfect (nor even does “perfect practice make perfect,” as I once heard a Ventura County Fire Dept. Captain teach us at a City of Simi Valley CERT training class); practice WITH EVALUATION makes perfect.” John Maxwell, in his (NKJV) Leadership Bible Commentary, pg. 1249.

Diverse…or insane?

‘Diversity’ at the price of true liberty and unity is insanity.

True Winning = Timeless Results.

Competing at the highest level is not about winning. It’s about preparation, courage, understanding and nurturing your people…and heart (passion, otherness). Winning is the result.” Joe Torre, champion U. S. baseball player, manager and league executive, as quoted by Charlie Kirk in his book, How We Win, pg. 38 (emphases and words in parenthesis added by me).

Law…or Grace?

“For many centuries, it was traditional for many Christians to think of Law and Grace in opposing terms. However, the opposite of Grace was never Law…but disgrace. Just as the opposite of Law was never Grace…but lawlessness.” Pastor/Rabbi Jorge Corrales, IPC (International Pentecostal Church), Simi Valley, CA

Here and Now…or Hereafter?

We think, ‘right here, right now.’ God is thinking, ‘nations and generations!’ Caleb wasn’t conquering Hebron just for himself. More than four hundred years later, David would be crowned king in the city Caleb conquered. (In a large sense) David was standing on Caleb’s shoulders! It was Caleb’s victory that made David’s coronation possible! When you ‘wind the clock’ the way Caleb did, your brave can become someone else’s breakthrough! Mark Batterson, Win the Day, pg. 167.

Greatness by Consistency.

The Key to True Greatness is NOT normally achieved by doing great things well now and then or before the eyes of man but, rather, by doing ordinary things excellently, day-in and day-out, especially when no one (human) is watching. (Epiphany to me, DKB.)
